A few weeks ago, we had the great pleasure of shooting Elise and Bernard's 50th wedding anniversary.
The family of this lovely couple organized a surprise party with friends and family members, some of whom Elise and Bernard had not seen in years.
The couple suspected something was up, but they had no idea what... maybe diner with immediate family at a St-Hubert, maybe a little get together at their beautiful cottage-like home on the riverside. I mean, it's been 50 years so it's likely to be a relatively quiet night, right?...
Fred and I were sitting at the vendor's table with the DJ and MC and they thought exactly that. "We'll be home by 10. These guys are going to want to tuck in as soon as possible".
Oh that poor little DJ man he had no idea what the night had in store for him.
Especially when things like this started to happen. And we had only just finished the first course.
Really. I had barely taken a bite out of my prosciutto wrapped melon ball when people just started rocking out.
And then this went down by the second course:
But even with the hunch that Fred and I had that this family knows how to party, I don't think either of us expect this:
Remember: 50th wedding anniversary. Not rave. 50th. wedding. anniversary.
But that was actually pretty tame. Once we brought out the photo-booth, these guys went nuts.
In the most amazing kind of way.
I sincerely hope that in 50 years, I'll be able to laugh and move and dance like these guys.
Félicitations Élise et Bernard! On vous souhaite tout le bonheur du monde!
